In the episode, SZA shares that her family history puts her at risk for breast cancer. She didn’t realize the risks until considering breast implants, when her doctor found fibrosis in her breasts.
SZA explained that when she had breast surgery, her doctor removed some fibrosis from her breasts. There was a lot of fibrosis, but after the procedure, many of her concerns were eased.
After getting the implants, SZA mentioned that they started causing her pain. She developed too much scar tissue due to her dense breasts, and she wasn’t meant to have breast implants.
I ended up getting more fibrosis in my tissue, and it didn’t feel good, it was painful,” she explained. She later decided to have the implants removed.
