O.J. Simpson died at 76 because of cancer. Now, there’s new info about his death and money.
TMZ says 30 to 50 people were with him before he died. But they all promised not to talk about his sickness.
Arnelle, 55, and Jason, 53, his oldest kids with his first wife, were there too. They had another child named Aaren, who drowned when she was little.
His younger kids, Sydney, 38, and Jason, 35, from his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson, were also there.
Doctors noticed O.J.’s health getting worse on Friday. His kids were with him when he passed on Wednesday. He found out about his prostate cancer in February.
His family wrote on X, asking for privacy after he died.
O.J. was famous for football and acting. But he got more famous for the murder of his ex-wife and her friend in 1994.
In 1995, he was found not guilty of the murders, but later he lost a lawsuit and was told to pay $33.5 million to the victims’ families.
Now, lawyer David Cook says O.J. never paid the money, and it’s grown to $114 million with interest.
O.J. didn’t give any money to the victims’ families, and attempts to get his NFL pension and trust failed.
He only paid $133,000 since the trial.
The victims’ families got money from a book O.J. wrote, and from when he was arrested for robbery in 2007. He was released from jail in 2018.
