Melissa McCarthy responded to Barbra Streisand’s comment about Ozempic with a sweet video on Instagram.
Earlier this week, Melissa shared pictures of herself with famous director Adam Shankman from the 2024 Center Theatre Group Gala.
Barbra wrote, “Give him my regards, did you take Ozempic?” which sparked criticism online. Later, Streisand explained she meant it as a compliment.
Melissa, however, took it positively, as shown in her new video.
Wearing a floral print outfit and holding a magazine titled “Barbra: Celebrating an Icon,” she said, “The takeaway: Barbra Streisand knows I exist, she reached out to me, and she thought I looked gooood!”
She added, “I win the day.”
In the caption, she wrote, “@barbrastreisand fan club members only!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️”
This video followed Melissa’s initial comment to TMZ this week, where she said, “I think Barbra is a treasure and I love her.”
In 2016, Melissa and Barbra performed the duet “Anything You Can Do (I Can Do Better)” for Streisand’s “Encore: Movie Partners Sing Broadway.”
