Forbes just put out their list of billionaires for this year, and there’s one name that’s got everyone talking. Livia Voigt, who’s only 19, made it onto the list as one of the richest and most powerful people, yet not many know much about her background.

Here’s how this teenager became not just one of the richest people in the world, but also the youngest billionaire ever.

Let’s take a look at where Livia Voigt comes from.

Livia Voigt, a 19-year-old from Brazil, is the granddaughter of Werner Ricardo Voigt. He, along with Eggon Joao da Silva and Geraldo Werninghaus, founded WEG, a successful company.

WEG.

WEG is a big deal in Latin America, making electric motors, transformers, generators, and other stuff.

Despite being so young, Livia owns a lot of WEG’s stock. But because she’s still a teenager, she doesn’t have a seat on the board or any fancy job at the company. Makes sense, right?

What does Livia Voigt do?

At just 19, Livia Voigt isn’t diving into a bustling career just yet. Instead, she’s staying focused on her studies, pursuing a psychology degree at a university in Brazil.

Livia lives with her sister, Dora Voigt, who’s 26 and also on the list. They stay close to family in Florianópolis, Brazil. Together, they’re two of 18 heirs to the company.

Their cousins, Eduardo Voigt Schwartz and Mariana Voigt Schwartz Gomes, are also on the Forbes list.

What’s Livia Voigt’s net worth?

Forbes says Livia Voigt is worth about $1.1 billion, and her wealth keeps growing.
