Lady Gaga, who’s famous for singing, writing songs, and acting, has now made an ad for Pfizer’s migraine drug Nurtec ODT. It’s called “Lady Gaga’s Journey, The Next Chapter,” and it reveals another talent of hers. In her previous ad, she was on stage performing, but this time, she’s the one taking photos behind the scenes.

Gaga starts the 30-second ad surrounded by her glam team backstage at a photoshoot, saying, “Nothing dims my light like a migraine.” With her hair and makeup done, she walks to the set, picks up a camera, and it’s revealed that the shoot is for “actual Nurtec ODT patients,” not for her. The ad mentions Nurtec ODT as a medication that helps treat and prevent migraines.

Gaga says, “To those with migraine, I see you,” before turning the camera on each of the others while her song “Edge of Glory” plays. She adds, “It’s time we all shine.” Gaga collaborated with famous fashion photographers Inez & Vinoodh to make the “film,” as mentioned in an Instagram post shared on Monday.

Before sharing the ad, Gaga posted a selfie video, tagged with ” #pfizersponsored” and ” #ad,” where she encouraged others with migraines to talk to their doctors about Nurtec ODT. She mentioned having migraines for a long time and wished she had found Nurtec ODT sooner. Gaga said, “If you’re suffering with migraine, I know we might have different careers and backgrounds, but we share this thing in common, and it feels good to tell you that it could be helpful to you.” She ended the video by blowing a kiss and saying, “I hope you feel better soon.”

On the Nurtec website, Lady Gaga’s “story” page talks about how she’s had severe migraines since she was 14. Since she started taking the medication and felt better, she’s been inspired to share her story to help others find relief from their pain too.

The reaction to the ad was mixed among her followers. Some top comments on her Instagram posts expressed desires for less focus on pharmaceuticals and more on Lady Gaga herself. Others suggested alternative treatments, like a new album, which gained significant support. Meanwhile, it’s worth noting that Nurtec was first created by Biohaven before Pfizer acquired it in 2022 for $11.6 billion.
