Gypsy Rose Blanchard is flaunting her new appearance, showing off her fresh nose. She was seen in public for the first time since her April 5 surgery.
The survivor of Munchausen by proxy went shopping at the Dollar General store in Cut Off, Louisiana, accompanied by her stepmother. Gypsy was dressed casually in gym shorts and a hoodie, with her hair tied back in a ponytail, according to TMZ photos.
Gypsy, who is 32 years old, had previously shared a photo with bandages covering most of her face, making it hard to see the results of her surgery. But in this new photo, she only has a bandage over her nose, which looks noticeably smaller. TMZ reports the surgery cost Gypsy $5,000, which is average according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
After the April 5 surgery, she told People it “went great.” She experienced some pain initially but was on pain medicine.
Gypsy had been planning to have a rhinoplasty to change the shape of her nose. Her friend Nadiya Vizier mentioned that Gypsy had wanted this procedure for a while and was happy it was happening. Gypsy mentioned that she can’t breathe through her nose because of packing, but it will be removed soon.
Gypsy is excited about her nose’s new look, saying she wants to see it badly. She also mentioned her upcoming show, “Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up,” which premieres on Lifetime in June. The show follows Gypsy and her now-estranged husband Ryan Scott Anderson after her release from prison. Gypsy served eight years for second-degree murder related to her mother’s killing, DeeDee Blanchard.”
