This mother feels like she’s looking after two children at times. Brittany Cartwright stated that her separated husband, Jax Taylor, didn’t contribute equally in their marriage, which played a role in her choice to separate.
“I’m handling my toddler, and I’m also managing another toddler called Jax Taylor, because I essentially handle all household responsibilities,” Cartwright, 35, bluntly shared , referencing their 2-year-old son, Cruz.
The former star of “Vanderpump Rules” emphasized, “I simply want to be valued and desired by my spouse.”
Cartwright also acknowledged that co-parenting and collaborating with Taylor at his Los Angeles restaurant and on their podcast, “When Reality Hits With Jax and Brittany,” has been tough due to their problems.
“It can definitely be tough,” Cartwright expressed. “I still love Jax very much, but he’s a challenging person to handle, and I think everyone in the world knows that.
Though uncertain about their future relationship, Cartwright is relieved they separated to prevent further conflicts in front of Cruz.
“What matters most right now,” she noted, “is not having Cruz witness the fighting. That’s why I had to remove him from that environment initially.”
Despite this, Cartwright aims to maintain a cordial relationship with Taylor for the benefit of their son’s future.
“We need to secure our financial future, for our son and his future. That’s what truly matters,” she stated. “We’ll continue to be part of each other’s lives, regardless of whether we reconcile or not. I prefer for us to maintain a civil relationship rather than despise each other. Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that.”
Cartwright also shared that she left their home and is currently staying in an Airbnb to escape a harmful environment.
“He should take a step back. He always burdens me with various issues,” she explained. “I constantly feel the pressure of dealing with his issues, and that can be quite challenging.”
The couple, married in June 2019, revealed their unexpected separation after being married for five years in February.
“Indeed, marriages are quite challenging, and I’ve had an especially tough year recently,” she mentioned on their podcast. “Jax and I are currently separated, and I opted to move to a different residence to create some distance for my well-being.”
After their announcement, rumors circulated suggesting that their separation was a publicity stunt prior to the release of their new show, “The Valley.”
